# WinWedge Windows 11 compatibility guide

> Check which WinWedge versions fully support Windows 11, and what to do if an older version has trouble sending data.

## Compatible versions

**Current versions that fully support Windows 11:**

* WinWedge v3.6 and higher
* WinWedge Pro v4.11 and higher

These versions operate without any known issues on Windows 11 systems.

## Legacy version compatibility

**Older versions may experience issues** when sending keystroke data to target applications in Windows 11 only. The specific problems depend on:

* Hardware configuration
* Target application software

**Note:** There are no definitive criteria to predict which combinations will cause compatibility issues. Some users successfully run older versions without problems.

1. **Test first:** Install your current WinWedge version on the Windows 11 system
