# Sartorius balance cable pinouts

> Wire a cable from a Sartorius balance or scale to a standard RS232 port, using the pin assignments for its connectors.

The 25-pin female port (DB-25) on Sartorius Balances and Scales does not use “Standard” RS-232 pin designations. It can easily be connected to any standard RS-232 compatible port with a properly configured cable.
