GS1-128, formerly known as EAN/UCC 128, is a type of barcode designed for product identification applications. It is a variation of the original Code 128 symbology and uses the same code set as Code 128, except that it does not allow function codes FNC2-FNC4 to be used in a symbol. Instead, FNC1 is used as part of the start code in the symbol. Additionally, the check digit in EAN/UCC128 symbols is calculated slightly differently than in Code 128.

If you need to create GS1-128 barcodes, [B-Coder Pro](https://www.taltech.com/b-coder-pro/) can help you generate them easily and accurately. With B-Coder Pro, you can create GS1-128 barcodes that comply with the EAN/UCC 128 specification and calculate the check digit automatically.
